Knowsley Heritage Grants

Knowsley Heritage Grants, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund thanks to National Lottery players, will provide community and voluntary organisations operating in Knowsley with a chance to apply for micro-grants to run heritage-themed projects.

These grants, from £250-£3000, will be available to community and voluntary organisations in Knowsley to enable them to design and deliver heritage projects and activities.

It’ll be a very simple application process, with lots of support from the One Knowsley team to develop your ideas and apply for the funding.

It is hoped these grants will help you to upskill, diversify your offer, engage more Knowsley residents in heritage and help you to develop your confidence in including ‘heritage’ in your future offer.

We will continue to deliver community-based workshops, exploring ‘what is heritage?’ and helping communities develop their ideas for heritage activities and projects, across the townships of Knowsley throughout July and August. You don’t need to attend a workshop in order to apply for funding.  

How applying for Funding Works
You can either fill out an expression of interest form and return it to Liz or you can call her – Liz will start to complete the Expression of Interest form on your behalf when you call.

After this Liz, our Heritage Engagement officer, will come to you to talk through your ideas and help you with your application. Liz will be able to help you with designing the project, networking, communications, delivery, and evaluation.

The next stage is to formally apply.
Prior to the meeting you’ll receive a 1-2-1 Meeting Preparation Checklist which lists the supporting documentation for you to to bring with you. In the meeting, you will gain feedback based on costs and the proposed work schedule before submitting your final application.
