Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme in Knowsley

The HAF programme is a national programme that provides healthy food and enriching holiday activities for children and young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals (FSM). Building on the success of the Knowsley Sport Nutrition Active Play (SNAP) initiative , HAF is delivered by One Knowsley. One Knowsley coordinates Knowsley’s HAF on behalf of Knowsley Council, thanks to funding from Department for Education. The programme offers a varied array of enriching, fun and educational activities, with a free nutritious meal included as part of every session.

HAF 2023 – more vital than ever!

As more families are pushed into fuel and food poverty during the cost of living crisis, HAF provider delivery across Knowsley will enable children and young people eligible for FSM’s to enjoy a FREE healthy meal and FREE access to a range of quality enriching activities, camps and experiences in neighbourhoods across Knowsley. 

Knowsley have a centralised booking system ahead of #WinterSNAP2023 delivery. We are working with schools and our HAF providers to ensure those parents who meet the HAF eligibility criteria have full and inclusive access to the exciting programme.

A parents guide has been published to help support eligible families  – step by step – through the new HAF booking system.
