Roving health check service comes to Knowsley

by | Jul 7, 2022 | News

The local NHS has launched a roving health screening service across Knowsley this summer. Operating from a mobile unit, the roving clinic will travel to a variety of locations in the local community, so that residents can drop-in for a health check at a time and place convenient to them.
Working closely with public health teams within Knowsley, the service will offer a number of physical health checks, COVID-19 vaccinations as well as advice, guidance and signposting regarding lifestyle, mental wellbeing and social support.

Physical health checks on offer include:
– Cholesterol
– Blood Pressure
– Glucose
– BMI
– Pulse Check

Each health check will be delivered by registered clinicians and GPs will receive a notification letter advising on any follow-up actions, along with a scanned copy of the completed assessment form. The service will run between June and September 2022, holding approximately two clinics per week.
