The Transforming Care Programme is offering funding to support children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism in St Helens and/or Knowsley. The goal is to enhance their emotional and mental well-being, and prevent issues like challenging behaviour, mental health crises, breakdowns at home or in placements, hospital visits, school isolations, and exclusions.
NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, focusing on St Helens and Knowsley, invites proposals from third sector organisations. These organisations can apply for a one-time grant ranging from £2,000 to £20,000. The funding must be used by September 2025 to benefit children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism and their families in St Helens and/or Knowsley.
Organisations can use the funding for various purposes, such as providing interventions or support through individual or group sessions, offering training, facilitating access to activities, purchasing resources, or ensuring the sustainability of their organisation. All ideas that clearly benefit the target group and reduce the specified risks are welcome.
Interested organisations should submit an expression of interest by creating a brief plan on one page, outlining how they would use the grant funding to support the project aims.

The deadline for submissions is 18:00 on February 16, 2024. The review of submissions will take place the following week, with successful ideas notified by February 23. Unsuccessful submissions will receive feedback by the week commencing February 29.
