One Knowsley Board of Trustees are recruiting:
You will be joining a highly skilled and deeply committed board of Directors and Trustees who are looking to expand in reflection of the organisational growth of One Knowsley. The Board are looking to increase representation, knowledge and skills across areas of equality, diversity and inclusion, and health inequalities. Current Directors are keen to continue to expand on the breadth of skills within the Board recognising these may come from outside of the VCFSE sector. Trustees/Directors are individual appointments with reasonable expenses paid and provide an incredible opportunity for personal and career development with an award winning and growing organisation. The Board is fundamental in driving forward the strategic and business plan for One Knowsley. Application is via a CV and covering letter outlining your interest in joining the One Knowsley Board and the areas of contribution you will bring. Attendance at a minimum of 4 Board meetings per year is required alongside willingness to attend training and development and support to sub-committee meetings for HR, Finance Risk and Audit.

Alliance Establishment
One Knowsley is recruiting Inaugural Chair positions to drive forward VCFSE Alliances that will underpin and inform the work of One Knowsley to support, develop and amplify the voice of VCFSE in the borough of Knowsley.
Application is via a written Expression of Interest, outlining experience and motivations. An informal conversation with the CEO of One Knowsley can be arranged prior to application via lisa.bloom@oneknowsley.org
One Knowsley is recruiting voluntary positions across Knowsley VCFSE leadership – Chair recruitment for alliance forums. These forums will be integral to driving forward the amplification of VCFSE priorities, voice and opportunities for consultation and innovation with One Knowsley with key partners and VCFSE organisations in the borough.
Pillar One: Connected Communities (Stronger Together Alliance) – You will be a Knowsley VCFSE sector leader who has demonstratable collaboration and social action at the core of your work
Pillar Two: Healthier Communities (Health and Wellbeing Alliance) – You will be a Knowsley VCFSE sector leader who has demonstratable health focused interventions and prevention at the core of your work
Pillar Three: Thriving Communities (Life Chances Alliance) – You will be a Knowsley VCFSE sector leader who has demonstratable experience in driving forward initiatives and interventions that address poverty and/or inequalities
Pillar Four: Enterprising Communities (Social Economy Alliance) – You will be a Knowsley VCFSE sector leader from within a recognised Social Enterprise within the borough
Chairs will be expected to work within the values and mission objectives of One Knowsley to support the implementation of the Resilient Communities Strategy. The role of Chair is an inaugural position to drive forward with the CEO of One Knowsley alliance establishment and membership within alliance Terms of Reference. Annual attendance at the One Knowsley Board to advise on the priorities of the alliance will be required as will regular engagement for and on behalf of the alliance with the CEO of One Knowsley.
Alliance membership will be open to VCFSE managers, CEO’s and Chairs of VCFSE Boards.
Leadership Roundtable
VCFSE leaders are invited to attend a roundtable with One Knowsley on 23rd January 9am-12pm at One Knowsley, The Courtyard, Court Hey Park.
At the meeting we will present and consult on the One Knowsley Resilient Communities strategic plan, VCFSE voice and representation in Knowsley and opportunities to work with One Knowsley in 2025 and beyond.
During the session we will create space to discuss current and future challenges and opportunities to the sector at a local, regional and national level including the UK Governments Civil Society Covenant and recent budget developments.
