Knowsley SNAP and HAF are two initiatives designed to provide holiday activities to children and young people with opportunities to eat, move, learn, create, and connect during school holidays. While both programmes offer enriching holiday activities, they operate differently in terms of eligibility and booking.
HAF (Holiday Activities and Food Programme)
HAF runs during the Easter, Summer, and Christmas school holidays and is for children eligible for Free School Meals (FSM). Eligible families receive voucher codes from their school to access the online booking system, where they can browse and sign up for available HAF programmes. The website provides details on locations, schedules, and eligibility criteria.
SNAP (Sports, Nutrition and Active Play)
The SNAP programme takes place during half-term breaks and is open to all children, regardless of FSM eligibility. Unlike HAF, SNAP does not require booking through a central system. Instead, holiday activities are coordinated directly by individual Knowsley SNAP providers, making participation more flexible for families.
